AHAN Playground Initiative
This project aims to fill the gap created by the lack of publicly accessible playgrounds in many African neighborhoods and communities. We will partner with various communities, individuals, and organizations to build playgrounds in publicly accessible land where children can spend more playtime outdoors. Outdoor parks have considerable health impacts by promoting physical activity, reducing stress, improving cardiovascular and mental health, fostering social interaction, and ultimately contributing to a healthier and more resilient community. The goal of this initiative is to encourage outdoor play among African children and, thus, stimulate movement, better wellbeing, and social-emotional development.
Upcoming project: Obe Community Playground, Anambra State, June 2025
